From Mar: 25: Spontaneous Inspiration

I stumbled upon a fantastic home decor blog, Belle Maison while trying to kill time at work. With our lease going up in July, we are going to have plenty of opportunities to transform the new place. I definitely want to upgrade my current bathroom decor. I really love the Zen that I am displaying now but all of my pieces are dingy and gross. Time to start browsing the local antique and flea markets. I am in definite need of new bedding and a shower curtain, no thanks to little Miss B. I am looking for inspiration for my bedroom decor. Currently, my room is a hodge podge of themes mixed with abandoned DIY projects. I'm hoping that once we get into a house, I can start establishing some roots and create a sophisticated grown-up bedroom. I am thinking that I want black and white with splashes of bright accent colors, probably purple and pink. I just love those colors. Several months ago, I bought a junky old vanity for $30 from a front lawn garage sale in South Broad Ripple. I had every intention of refurbishing it to a contempory, like-new condition. But after parusing Belle Maison, I am thinking I want to paint it a fun, feminine color with a color print or design on the top and fresh hardware. I also like the idea of all white or all black. So many wonderful choices.

I definitely need to get back to painting. Hopefully the new home will have some space for me to set up an art studio.
